MH1 – Standard Chanter Reed

MH1 Chanter reeds are suitable for most highland pipe chanters currently available.

The MH1 Chanter reeds are bound with a black thread to distinguish them from our MH2 Chanter reeds (purple thread).  These ridge cut reeds are available in 3 weights, easy, medium and hard, allowing for a suitable to be chosen for all pipers.  The MH1 Chanter Reed can pitch to around 478hz – 484hz (chanter and weather dependent).
